Must be able to create, implement, and sustain a zero injury mindset, teamwork based atmosphere, and above average working relations with all departments and department managers.
Oversee Maintenance management software to ensure proper and effective operation of MRO purchasing, MRO inventories / stock room, work orders, preventive / predictive maintenance, and equipment efficiency reports.
Oversee and coordinate plant shutdown activities relating to Maintenance labor, equipment repair, budgeting, and plant startup.
Coordinate and implement safety and training programs.
Responsible for leading teams that identify equipment failure root causes and eliminate critical equipment downtime reoccurrences.
Responsible for continuous improvement in all areas of the Maintenance department.
Lead department in identifying, training, and implementing best practices to improve setup and quick change modules.
Must be able to effectively manage budgets and identify opportunities that reduce maintenance costs.
Interpret company policies to Supervisors, leads by example, and enforces safety regulations.
Communicates closely with all department Managers and Supervisors to ensure positive outcomes.
Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
Follow and implement Lean manufacturing procedures within the Maintenance Department.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Management preferred.
Will consider a minimum of 6 years experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Supervision, OR a combination of education and experience.
Must have extraordinary organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, communication skills, and must be a team-oriented self-starter.
- Sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and walking as necessary.Wearing of PPE is required.
- Must possess required computer skills to properly and effectively perform job. Computer skills that will be required relate to Microsoft office programs i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and project management. Other computer skills relate to maintenance management programs.
