Motrex LLC Facilities Maintenance Technician in Salina, Kansas
Overview
Facilities technician capable of troubleshooting, repairing and performing maintenance on Air Compressors and Chillers at the commercial and industrial level. Diagnose and repair of mechanical and electrical components of Compressed Air Systems.

Responsibilities
Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures.
Work with other Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics.
Perform basic mechanic jobs and clean parts.
Demonstrate ability to learn plumbing and pipe fitting.
Demonstrate ability to learn basic welding of plastics and metals.
Demonstrate ability to learn basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Must be able to communicate in simple English to receive instructions, interact with supervisor, and understand repair manuals and work orders.
Follow all procedures with regard to lock out/tag out and confined space entry.
Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and perform team responsibilities
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Comply with current Quality System requirements.
Follow Lean Manufacturing procedures.
Perform other work as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
Occasional heavy lifting of 50 pounds, routine lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Withstand occasional exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, odors, and dust.
Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined spaces.
Equipment Used:
Hand and Power Tools, welders, grinders, torch, 2-way radio
Personal protective equipment as required
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical skills required
Plumbing and Compressed Air experience would be a Plus
Manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience
Ability to work independently in a timely manner.
