Motrex LLC CAD Designer in Salina, Kansas

Overview

An essential team member tasked with the modification creation, and verification of Overall Facility drawings, Facility/Business Projects, Fabricated Parts, and Engineering drawings in the AutoCAD program and to keep all drawings organized and accessible.

  • Creating and altering Facility and Design sketches

  • Ongoing drawing focused on collaboration with Facility & Project Managers and Engineering Department

  • Management and organization of all Stryten Manufacturing, Salina‚Äôs CAD drawings

  • Printing of CAD drawings in various formats and packages, and delivering them to the correct contact in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and facility inspections

  • Seamlessly integrate and work with Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors, to produce and alter drawings

  • Be able to think creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work

  • Ability to create and continually update Project and Facility drawings lists

  • Print various formats of drawing sets for Project Managers, Engineers and Facility Management

  • Exhaustively review and check sketches and drawings for errors before being sent to Engineers, sub-contractors, and/or Project Managers, etc

  • Organize and upload drawings to web based storage sites/collaboration project sites to share drawings

  • Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • A two-year degree in Computer Aided Drafting preferred

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a CAD Operator role

  • Preferred, but not required, a working knowledge Inventor software

  • Outstanding fluency and skill within the AutoCAD program

  • Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
