Motrex LLC Production Supervisor in Ruckersville, Virginia
The Supervisor is responsible for supervision and development of production employees to meet the production schedule for customer orders. Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and communication standards. Lead the shift to maximize output of quality products at minimum costs. Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations. Review work areas for safety compliance and safe work conditions.
Ensures all employees follow health and safety guidelines and wears proper PPE in department
Meets daily with employees to ensure good communication is maintained on all issues in department and the plant
Assist in establishing and setting up material and equipment for production jobs or for improved processes.
Reports any shortages of supplies or equipment required for daily operations
Schedules employees assigned to area
Responsible for general housekeeping of the production areas.
Trains, instructs and supervises new employees on job operations, until employees meet job requirements
Evaluates employee’s job performance in relation to established production standards
Counsels employees on job performance, safety/health, absenteeism, tardiness, and disciplinary issues
Participate and or leads in training, development, and certification programs
Performs other responsibilities and duties that are assigned by Plant Manager.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3 to 5 years supervisory experience in a production manufacturing environment
Trained in team building with effective communication skills, written and verbal
Great leadership ability
Good computer skills including use of Word, Excel, Power Point and other software
Good communications, interpersonal and problem solving skills
Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions on the work that needs to be performed
Understanding of basic process and product flow in order to trouble shoot and pinpoint areas requiring problem solving
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good attendance and performance work history.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all levels of management.
Motivated self-starter that is able to productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.
