Motrex LLC Facilities/Maintenance Technician in Ruckersville, Virginia
Overview
The Facilities/Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting all Facility and Maintenance operations. The helper will be responsible to troubleshoot and diagnose issues as well as making minor repairs where feasible. Responsible for maintaining relationships with contracted vendors and assisting them when needed. The helper will maintain the interior and exterior of the plant. Be responsible for assisting in safety audits and making recommendations for improvements and assisting in improving the plant on its safety initiatives. Responsible to comply with all health and safety regulations as well as all company policies.

Responsibilities
Perform routine building maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
Clean and maintain all assigned work areas.
Comply with all company policies and all safety regulations
Diagnose and troubleshoot minor issues and repair where applicable.
Work with outside vendors/contractors and assist when necessary.
Complete any administrative duties assigned, including safety audits, fire extinguisher checks, etc.
Complete all other duties assigned by management.
Install and maintain all safety signage and safety markings.
Qualifications
Educations, Experience, Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED
5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing and maintenance environment
Some knowledge of HVAC, electrical, carpentry and maintenance systems
Must have possessed a valid industrial fork truck license
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
May be required to work outside of normal working hours
Ability to work in different climates, both hot and cold
Ability to read prints
Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions as well as other manuals
Ability to work with others and take directions from supervision and management
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
Trouble shooting and diagnostic skills
Knowledge in all fields of maintenance
Has a high level of understanding of safety policies
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
5-10 years in a manufacturing and maintenance environment
Trained on HVAC and electrical systems is a plus
Ability to interpret instructions, manuals, etc.
TRAVEL, ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Travel Expectations: ≤ 10%
