Overview
Stryten Energy, a new company name with a long history in the Niagara Falls, NY area, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Manager and will be responsible for office and support on our Human Resources team in performing a variety of human resource support with a focus on HR duties. This position maintains the phone system and front desk presence to assist visitors and employees as necessary.
Responsibilities
Answers, screens, directs and provides support for incoming calls
Greet and welcome guests and directs them to the appropriate person
Clerical duties, including faxing, scanning, postage machine use, multiple system data entry;
Backup to payroll using Paylocity system.
Maintain list in front office area for supplies needed and works with Lead Buyer to order
Ensure office and kitchen areas are presentable with all necessary supplies
Supports the human resources department by assisting with interviewing of applicants, new hire onboarding and orientation process
Help maintain employee flies and records in electronic form by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates.
Provide orientation for new employees by presenting information packets, reviewing company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining signatures for documents.

Assist in administering employee benefit program including medical, dental, and vision insurances, along with disability and workers’ compensation programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals
Document and track human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
Schedule and/or assist with conducting various training
Coordinate and assist with company events and team member training
Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
Three years of administrative support experience
Prior experience working in a union environment preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience utilizing ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, Paycom or other HRIS/payroll technology
Associates Degree in Human Resources or relevant work experience preferred industry- Manufacturing
Microsoft Office experience – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Scheduling Experience
Good written and oral communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
Ability to work independently, develop and follow-up on plans, and resolve conflicts effectively
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to support business requirements
Working knowledge and experience in a union environment
Strong decision making skills
Must be able to multi-task, and handle multiple projects simultaneously, easily adapt to changing situations

While much work will be performed in an office setting, occasional time may be required in the manufacturing facility, where additional exposure is likely
Noise levels in the manufacturing facility are usually high
Qualified candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb with minimal effort
Occasional light lifting may be required
Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
