Motrex LLC Lead Technician in Mississauga, Ontario
Lead Technician accountable to mentor and guide other service techs as well as complete service calls as required at customer locations, performs service calls repairing industrial batteries, chargers and ancillary battery equipment in a timely manner. Complete assignments dispatched in Servicemax in a timely fashion allowing the customer to be billed. Operates company vehicle safety. Actively pursues new accounts. Lead Technician that supports payroll, service max and other technical questions from service technicians.
Position can be based at GNB/StrytenMississauga, Ontariolocation or anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead Technician mentors service technicians
Lead technician to communicate with customers and sales to answer questions and give input when required,
Helps resolve day to day payroll, technical, vehicle service max ipad battery charger and other technical issues
Ensure all assigned dispatches are updated correctly and completed correctly in Servicemax.
Convey all information to the proper contact at the customer’s location to ensure customer satisfaction.
Keep the service vehicle in good working order and stocked correctly, maintained to manufacturer’s specifications.
Practice safety and good housekeeping at customer site, in shop and in all circumstances when representing GNB/Stryten.
Help out where needed (Shop) or as directed by Management.
Operate company vehicles in a safe, courteous manner, in all traffic.
Communicate with Management/Sales on any customer issues.
Actively promote point of sale items and allied products and services.
Proper use of company funds and assets in the execution of the job.
Represent GNB in a neat and professional manner in accordance with GNB/Stryten standards.
Ability to operate forklift truck, crane, and reach truck on a regular basis.
Perform service calls at customer locations to repair industrial batteries, chargers and ancillary battery equipment in a timely manner to meet customer’s expectation.
Ensure all information is conveyed to proper authority at customer’s location to ensure customer satisfaction.
Demonstrates proficiency in the troubleshooting and repair of competitor’s equipment.
Pursues new accounts.
Assist in training Field Technicians
Interfaces with multiple levels of customers/dealers/management to provide assistance and improvement ideas.

Education, Experience, Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Greater than 5 years of battery industry or related experience with management recommendation.
Possess Commercial Drivers License with hazardous material endorsements or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Forklift Training Certification
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
Usage of standard shop tools. Excellent understanding of basic electricity/electronics.
Ability to calculate prices accurately when quoting estimates or completion of the work order for billing purposes, such as adding, subtracting, percentages and volume.
Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions on the work that needs to be performed.
Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to manage multiple projects and plan special projects.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Individual is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift a minimum 30lbs on a daily basis and 31 to 150lbs with assistance of equipment on a daily to weekly basis.
Regular use of safety glasses. Vision requirements: close vision.
