Motrex LLC Mold Setter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Set up all injection molded jobs along with full documentation in a safe and timely manner which may include but not limited to setting up all scheduled production, secondary and auxiliary equipment.

This is a 1st shift position

Pay rate = $18.89 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Safety is our overriding priority. If an unsafe condition is found to exist, actions must be taken immediately to correct the situation to keep all team members safe and get manufacturing equipment operational as soon as possible.

  • Maximizing production efficiency of the plastic molding production lines.

  • Compliance with quality control requirements of all parts made on the plastic molding production lines.

  • Communicating verbally and/or in writing with incoming or preceding personnel on status of all equipment, parts, manufacturing or quality problems.

  • Understands the Bill of Materials regarding materials required for the job being setup and started.

  • Performs mold changes/setups, pneumatic/electrical/water hookups in each press per the setup procedures and Bill of Materials.

  • Brings and organizes all component parts and materials required by job to the press.

  • Cleans up and puts away all component parts and materials after a job is completed.

  • Moves tools and secondary equipment as needed.

  • Cleans molds as needed to meet Bill of Material requirements.

  • Understands all procedures and paperwork required in performing the job.

  • Sets up all support and secondary equipment needed for the job.

  • Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of the production department as instructed by management as well as press upkeep as assigned.Reports unsafe conditions to the Supervisor for immediate action.

  • The above list of responsibilities describes normal work, but the Supervisor may assign this person to duties not listed when production requirements dictate or when there is not enough work in the regular classification to fill out the workday.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of manufacturing methods ensuring the highest quality, lowest cost, lowest scrap and optimum capacity.

  • Attend all Management meetings and training sessions, safety committee meetings, and all employee meetings as required by upper management.

  • Follow all ISO 9000 requirements including creating and maintaining ISO documents.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Must function well in a team environment and must communicate well with others.

  • Willingness to take instructions and/or directions from process engineers on operational issues.

  • Minimum three (3) years on the job experience installing and removing plastic injection molds in hydraulic and electric injection molding machines.

  • Or, minimum three (3) years at Stryten Energy (formerly Tulip Molded Plastics Corporation) in other positions and meet minimum mechanical aptitude score.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

  • Good attendance and performance work history.

  • Motived self-starter that can productively work alone and in groups to solve problems.

  • Must have proven mechanical ability.

  • Must have his/her own tools.

  • Must complete a forklift driving training program.

  • Must learn proper lifting skills of up to 10,000 lbs. with a forklift or crane.

  • Must complete a Lock Out/Tag Out training program.

  • Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed/required basis in order to complete work in process and communicate with other shifts.

  • Must have basic mechanical skills and can use basic hand tools. (Test)

  • Must have completed forklift driver training program.

  • Must be able to handle large work. (75lbs. Minimum)

  • Must show flexibility and readiness for innovations to move the company forward.

  • Other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor.

  • Must have own hand tools as determined by Manager Plastics division.

  • Qualifications must be gained six (6) months after training has begun in any skill offered.

  • Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime on an as needed/required basis in order to complete work in process and communicate with other shifts.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
