Overview
Stryten Energy (formerly Tulip Richardson Manufacturing) a new company name with a long history in the Milwaukee, WI area, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
The Manufacturing Engineer manages activities as they relate to manufacturing, assembly and facility support system projects. The responsibilities include but are not limited to automation engineering, outside machine builders, third party vendors, equipment design, new construction, repair, modification and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Manage manufacturing and facility projects. This includes establishing deliverables, distribution of RFQ’s, planning, selection of resources, budget constraints, and on time completion
Design mechanization for integrated and stand alone assembly equipment.
Design pneumatic and electrical circuitry to support such mechanization including component specifications.
Conceive and author PLC, Operator Interface and Robotic programs to control assembly, manufacturing and material handling equipment.
Support maintenance department personnel in the area of training and equipment re-engineering activities.
Analyze performance problems, find and implement solutions.
Maintain documentation (files, revisions and edits). To include all drawings and database listings.
Communicate to Engineering Manager issues and suggestions as they relate to automation and facility projects.
Lead efforts in continuous improvement to reduce set up time, reduce scrap, improve processing and overall increase in product yield.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications:
- BS in Engineering and three years related experience or post high school education such as technical school or college combined with a minimum 10 years experience in project management, maintenance management and programming of computer operated equipment.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
Understand the fundamentals of injection molding machines and the injection molding process
Demonstrated experience in project management or at a minimum, project management certification.
Strong analytical skills. Demonstrate ability to use root cause analysis methodology
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
Strong organizational skills
Design Skills, if applicable:
Must possess ability to develop PLC, HMI and Robotics programs to support complex assembly and material handling operations.
Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD to produce two dimensional and isometric drawings.
Travel, other requirements:
- Some travel (less than 5%)
