Motrex LLC Area Manager - Terminal Department in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom terminal products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery terminal manufacturing to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
This individual manages multiple supervisors over 24-hour continuous operation for our terminal manufacturing plant. He / she will be responsible for providing leadership to include safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery for the terminal departmental operations.
Assure compliance with all safety and health policies and procedures.
Enforce and coach on safety disciplines and create an understanding of our safety culture.
Manage the distribution of product within the standards of budget, policies, procedures, priorities, and quality.
Schedule all Terminal Department equipment based on customer demands.
Make purchases to support the department in a timely fashion.
Directly supervise shift supervisors.
Develop and implement methods to improve productivity, space utilization, and quality.
Train and develop supervision to include hourly workforce.
Determine required staffing and maintain efficient use of hours.
Monitor and assure housekeeping and orderliness throughout the department.
Collaborate with maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency.
Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
Support Lean Manufacturing procedures.
Must be accessible during off hours.
Follow all ISO requirements.
Perform other work as assigned by the Plant Manager.
5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, scheduling, & purchasing.
Collaborative/team-based management style
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with capability to convey ideas in concise and logical manner.
Drive and energy necessary to grow manufacturing throughput in a plant with expanding operations.
Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement, creativity, and results.
Experience with IQMS preferred.
Must be fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Industrial environment, both inside and outside the plant. The employee will be exposed to lead, fumes, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, heat and cold.
