How The Program Works:
The Stryten Energy Part-Time Maintenance Apprenticeship combines supervised structured on-the-job training with related technical instruction. The supervised structured on-the-job training will take place at our manufacturing facility in Manchester, IA. The related technical instruction is the academic portion of the apprenticeship, and will be provided through degreed programs you enroll in at Kirkwood Community College.
The Company will instruct the apprentice in safe and healthful work practices and procedures, and will ensure that the apprentice is trained to safely carry out their job duties. The apprentice will be held accountable to follow all health & safety rules, work practices and procedures at all times.
As an apprentice, it is expected that you will follow and adhere to the following:
Work safely in accordance with applicable Company policies and work rules.
Comply with absenteeism and tardiness policies at work and school.
Attend and participate in related instructional and educational programs and maintain the highest possible grades as required.
Be involved and show dedication to your training, both on the job and in the classroom.
Show dedication and interest in learning the trade.
Show respect to the Company employees training and supervising you.
Follow the Company’s written work rules and applicable policies and procedures.
The Apprenticeship is available to individuals who have completed the first year of one of the following degree programs offered through Kirkwood Community College:
Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Technologies
Advanced Welding Technologies
Automation and Instrumentation Technologies
CAD/Mechanical Engineering Technology
CNC Machining Technology
Electronics Engineering Technology
Energy Production And Distribution Technologies
Water Environmental Technology
