Motrex LLC Test Technician Contractor in Littleton, Colorado
Overview
This is a Contract Position.
The VRFB Test Technician will support Stryten’s Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) product lines under the supervision of the engineering team. They will work in a laboratory/pilot production environment with responsibilities that include helping to build VRFB test fixtures, components, and subassemblies to validate their performance prior to integration into the products. In addition, they will execute test plans, collect data, and analyze data/report findings following standard operating procedures. The position is located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Candidates will be part of a dynamic and growing team. Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Engineering and production test support, including assembly of test fixtures, components and sub-assemblies
Testing of batteries and electronic components, assemblies and systems following directions from established policies, procedures, and written test plans
Maintain accurate records of test results and record documents in appropriate database
Conducts various performance test of the company’s products in accordance with established test criteria
Conducts test of field returned products in cooperation with Customer Service
Operates required equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules
Reports failures to Quality Manager for data collection
Non-Essential Job Functions
- May operate dolly, and pallet jack in moving supplies and equipment
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in a related development laboratory, prototype facility, etc.
Formal training in fabrication and testing of batteries, preferred
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
Good writing, reading and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
Ability to perform high school mathematics
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
Comfortable working on high voltage electrical equipment
Other Skills and Abilities
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds
