Motrex LLC Parts Coordinator in Hiawatha, Kansas
Overview
Position located in Forest City, MO - ONSITE
Coordinate, schedule, and expedite the flow of maintenance work and materials to support plant maintenance functions including compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems, as well as procurement of materials and services. The end goal is to minimize and/or eliminate recurring facility maintenance issues and equipment downtime, as well as manage Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) inventory levels and costs.
This is a 1st shift position (7am – 3:30pm M-F) and the pay is $22.20 per hour.
Responsibilities
Manages inventory and helps with tracking and entering MRO parts usage to assure requisitions are initiated to keep the optimum number of spare parts in stock and conducts inventories of critical spares and storerooms. Will be responsible for establishing an operating database in CMMS for storeroom inventory and work to improve storeroom management systems.
Receives inventory and processes receipts per US Receiving Policy.
Verifies parts received meet all quality requirements and promptly resolves deficiencies. Works with maintenance to assemble kits for preplanned projects. Operates mobile equipment as necessary to perform job tasks. Manages vendor managed inventory orders and receipts and ensures all parts are properly stocked. Responsible for storeroom organization and cleanliness.
Obtain competitive quotes from vendors, process quotes into purchase requisitions, and present to maintenance staff for required approvals.Works with purchasing to develop cost tracking spreadsheets and present to Management.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs.
Participate in lean manufacturing events and assist with implementation.
Be willing to answer phone calls when not on the job.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Knowledge of computer systems and programs such as: CMMS, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, JDE.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to give and share information to/with co-workers, customers, and production management to achieve optimum plant performance.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good organization/administrative and time management skills.
High energy, self-motivated, ability to be successful without direct supervision.
Background in supplier quality management systems.
Skilled in the operation of measurement tools including tape measure, micrometers, snap gauges, etc.
Driver’s license required.
Proficient at operating mobile equipment including forklifts and man lifts.
Experience Needed:
High School equivalent education and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Maintenance related operations.
Preferred experience in storeroom management.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes, dust, airborne particles, noise, and extreme heat and humidity. While much work will be performed in an office setting, significant time will be required in the manufacturing facility, where additional exposure is likely. All employees are required to wear applicable respiratory protection inside the manufacturing facility.
Qualified candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb up and down ladders.
