Motrex LLC Senior Process Engineer in Fort Smith, Arkansas

Overview

The Senior Process (Mechanical) Engineer is responsible for the mechanical engineering projects as specified by the Plant Manager. The person that will succeed in this position must be self-motivated, technically savvy, creative, a fast learner and an excellent communicator. Other aspects of this position include design, development, project support, improving business profitability, ensuring strategic alignment, improving product quality, operational simplification, and improved equipment utilization. This position works within the Fort Smith, AR facility.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of manufacturing processes in coordination with the introduction of new or improved product designs, improved manufacturing methods, product components and materials.

  • Leading cross functional teams to drive capital project conceptualization, development, business case creation and project planning to meet the business goals.

  • Support process implementation including issuing initial process specifications, completing process failure mode and effects analysis, evaluating work instructions and managing the initial onsite process validation.

  • Documents safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Presents complex subjects and/or business cases to the executive leadership team.

  • Translate business needs to manufacturing targets and gather alignment towards achieving them.

  • Project Scoping & Business Case Development

Qualifications

Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field plus eight (8) years of engineering experience

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of ladder logic, wiring/mechanical diagrams and troubleshooting.

  • Functional in SQL, statistical analysis, and drafting

  • Lean training, green or black belt is preferred
