Overview
Stryten Energy (formerly Richardson Molding), a new company name with a long history in the Columbus, IN area, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.
This position will be responsible for the daily support of multiple administrative and operational functions. Primary responsibilities will be back up and administrative support to Human Resources department, with additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates must be a self starter with proven leadership and communication skills and will possess the ability to work with individuals from varied backgrounds, skills, and education levels to complete projects in an efficient and organized manner.
Responsibilities
Assist with various administrative tasks and management support as needed and assigned
Maintain attendance records for all hourly employees. Issue and track attendance warnings as required.
Perform entries, updates, and status changes of employee information in HRIS and timekeeping systems.
Planning and coordination of special events and meetings
Attend meeting as assigned; take, prepare, and post minutes
Support new employee recruiting and on-boarding process: Pre-screen applications, request background checks, prepare and process new hire paperwork, conduct new hire orientations, and other related tasks as needed
Provide general HR information to all employees based on established practices and procedures.
Maintain accurate employee records
Interface directly with all levels of Management and employees
Coordinate with staffing agencies for placement of temporary employees as needed
Act as backup for Human Resources Manager
Process temporary and salary employee payroll as required
Engage in the development of hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring plant employees for improved performance
Support Management Staff in accomplishing their business goals by assisting with various reports and duties
Support 5S program for office areas
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study strongly preferred2-4 Years Human Resources experience as an administrator or general support.
Good written and oral communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English
Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.)
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
Ability to work independently, develop and follow-up on plans, and resolve conflicts effectively
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to support business requirements
Strong decision making skills
Must be able to multi-task, and handle multiple projects simultaneously, easily adapt to changing situations.
Able to administer and follow all EHS rules and regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes, dust, airborne particles, and extreme heat and humidity.
While much work will be performed in an office setting, occasional time may be required in the manufacturing facility, where additional exposure is likely.
Noise levels in the manufacturing facility are usually high.
All employees are required to wear full face respirators inside the manufacturing facility.
Qualified candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb with minimal effort.
Occasional light lifting may be required
