Motrex LLC Director, Motive Power, National Accounts in Chicago, Illinois

Overview

The Director of National Accounts is responsible for developing and managing the National Account sales effort for the Motive Power business in North America. The target customer set includes those who are national or global in scope, who tend to buy or manage the purchases of Motive Power products and services centrally and who buy in excess of $1 million in these products and services annually.

This is a remote/home-based position ideally located near a large city/airport.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor sales force adherence to divisional pricing guidelines to National Accounts.

  • Develop strategies which will enable National Account Manager and local representation to approach national customers countrywide with a unified sales and service program.

  • Work with Motive Power Product/Marketing Manager’s to provide programs and product strategies which are well positioned to the current needs of the particular national account.

  • May recommend new or modified products to meet national account customer’s needs.

  • To insure effective communication both written and oral with the local GNB representation ultimately responsible for the national account location.

  • Monitor past and present sales performance of participating national accounts.

  • Advise management as to any breakdown in communication, loss of sales or service contract, and assure corrective action is taken.

  • Advise in the development of national sales tools.

  • Provide single source information on all national accounts, forecasting potential, agreements, etc.

  • Pinpoint national accounts and ensure coverage by either National Account Manager, Regional Manager, or local Agent/GNB Sales person.

  • Assist management in control of working capital, including overdue accounts receivables.

  • Search continually for new National Account Customers.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Degree in business, engineering or other technical discipline preferred

  • MBA preferred, but not necessary

  • 10+ years Proven track record in penetrating and maintaining large accounts

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
